I love its vibe, I love its songs, I love its characters... I love so much about it, alright? It's just some of those things that makes me smile every day and I've made so many wonderful friends though it!
I am the CEO of CS8, I will not explain further.
HEY KIDS YOU WANNA HEAR A LONG-WINDED RAMBLE?
I first discovered Pop'n in 2019, when I met a good friend through my Cookie Run art. I took notice of this character she liked; a cute computer robot girl, and I was like "woah she's cute, what's that from?" and I saw that her name was Alt and she was from this game I never heard of! :O
At the time, the only Bemani series I was familar with was Dance Dance Revolution, and that's mostly from a lot of 2000s media referencing it and the Burger King promotion. I soon discovered just how many adorable characters there were! I really wanted to get into this game, but I didn't really have access to it at that point, nor did I really know how to dive in. I mostly consumed it through my friends' artwork, and the songs and characters I got attached to. The first Pop'n character, besides Alt, that made think "okay, this Pop'n thing is super cool" was Hot. D! He was the very first Pop'n character I considered myself a fan of... and then...
Cut to the start of 2022. My mental health was [fart sfx] as it often is at the beginning of a new year. Then, the friend that introduced me to Pop'n Music in the first place did a fun little stream of CS7 and she introduced me to Prince M! Shortly right after I learned of the other Sunshine Lovers and I started to hyperfixate on them! That's when I started to seriously get into Pop'n, and once I got a new PC the Christmas of that year, I finally had a good enough PC to emulate the PS2 games. I sucked at them, but by golly I was happy to finally play this damn game! I eventually stepped up to playing the arcade game and I'm currently still going strong with that! I went from playing on keyboard to playing with a Yuancon ASC! Currently, I'm only up to early 30s on arcade/ASC, but I'm slowly improving!
